Join us for our 86th Annual Business Meeting! We invite you to learn more about your credit union, our past performance, future plans, and what makes us different! 

Members will also have the chance to win cash prizes up to $2,500! To enter, primary members must RSVP for the annual meeting and check in at the event. Winners will be drawn the following business day.

Enjoy refreshments and giveaways while supplies last.

85th Annual Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

  • Mrs. Tina Foster provided an introduction and called on Mr. Andre Parker to lead the invocation and pledge of allegiance at the 85th Annual Meeting.
  • Mr. Shawn Bailey, President / CEO, called the meeting to order on February 21, 2023, at 5:35 pm at the Doyle
    Convention Center, Texas City, Texas.
  • Mr. Bailey introduced the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Nominating/Governance Committee,
    Executive Team, and other special guests.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized the Rookie of the Year, Sindy Alvarez; Employee of the Year, Tracy McMeekin; and the Manager of the Year, Krystle Ulhaq.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized the Volunteer of the Year, Craig Mason.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized the Member of the Year, Alejandro Vargas; and the SEG of the Year, Marathon Petroleum.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized the recipients of the Platinum Club Member(s) of the Year: Jens & Lisa Jenson.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized Andre Parker’s Building Dedication and Scholarship.
  • Mr. Bailey recognized Roger McCrary’s retirement from the Board of Directors.
  • Mr. Bailey presented his state of the credit union address.
  • Mrs. Ashley Carner presented the credit union’s operational highlights.
  • Mr. Jeremy Silva presented the credit union’s financial highlights.
  • Mrs. Gail Figueroa presented the credit union’s administration highlights.

Business Meeting

  • Mr. Shawn Bailey, President / CEO, called the business meeting to order on February 21, 2023, at 6:18 pm at the Doyle Convention Center, Texas City, Texas. A quorum was declared with more than 15 members present (estimated attendance 400).
  • Mr. Shawn Bailey asked for a motion from the floor to dismiss with the reading of minutes and various reports and accept as reported in the Annual Report.
  • Mr. Shawn Bailey asked if there is any unfinished or new business to be discussed.

Elections

  • Mr. Shawn Bailey announced that the Nominating Committee met in November 2022 and nominated the following members for the 2023 Board of Directors:
    • Position #2: Chet Rich
    • Position #4: Hedy Minter
    • Position #6: Ruben Torres
  • Since the Nominating Committee has only selected one applicant for each open position and the credit union received no Nominations by Petition; on behalf of the Nominating Committee, Mr. Shawn Bailey declared each nominee to be elected by acclamation.

Adjournment

Mr. Shawn Bailey gave closing remarks and the meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
