AMOCO Federal Credit Union members are invited to attend the Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Doyle Convention Center located at 2010 5th Avenue North in Texas City.
5:00 PM: Doors Open
5:15 PM: Business meeting begins
5:45 PM: Business meeting concludes
5:45 PM - 7:00 PM: Networking
Members attending the Annual Business Meeting are eligible to enter for a chance to win a cash prize. Sixteen cash prizes totaling $2,500 will be awarded. The drawing for cash prizes will take place at the credit union on February 21, 2018 at approximately 11:00 AM. Winners will be notified by phone and all cash prizes will be deposited into the member’s savings account.

Must be an AMOCO member to enter and win. AMOCO FCU Employees, Directors, and Committee Volunteers are not eligible to enter. Only one entry per primary account owner. Duplicate entries will not increase your chance of winning. Entries for the drawing will only be accepted at the event.

The following members are candidates for the open positions on AMOCO's 2018 Board of Directors:
Mr. Rich has been a member of AMOCO for 26 years and serves as a Director of the Board. He is currently a Corporal with the Texas City Police Department, where he has served for 38 years. Mr. Rich resides in Texas City, TX.
Mr. Mullen has been a member of AMOCO for 27 years and currently serves as Vice- Chairman of the Board. Mr. Mullen has 27 combined years employed at Amoco/BP/ Marathon and resides in Friendswood, TX with his wife Crystal.
Mr. Norman has been a member of AMOCO for 40 years and currently serves as Secretary of the Board. After more than 40 combined years at Amoco/BP/Marathon, he is now retired and resides in Santa Fe, TX with his wife Christie.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors appointed the following members to serve on the Nominating Committee for the 2018 board elections: Josh Chapman Stacy Cortez Craig Mason.
The 2018 Board Elections will be held during the business meeting portion of the credit union’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City, Texas.
(Posted 11/01/17): In accordance with the credit union’s bylaws, elections will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor where there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. Nominations for vacancies may be made by petition, signed by 1% of the members with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500. Nominations by petition must be filed with the secretary of the credit union at least 40 days prior to the annual meeting, therefore the closing date for receiving nominations by petition is Thursday, December 7, 2017.

General Qualifications for Volunteer Officials are: A Volunteer Official must be a member in good standing. Volunteer Officials should not have been convicted of any criminal offense involving dishonesty. Volunteer Officials must be unselfish and willing to act for the benefit of the members. And Volunteer Officials should be sincerely interested in helping the members resolve their financial problems as permissible through services offered by the credit union.
