Please be aware that you may hear about a Texas Comptroller Office database compromise.  Letters have been sent out from the Comptroller's Office as of April 13, 2011 to notify a large number of Texans, whom personal information may have been obtained through an agency server that was accessible to the public. Records of about three and half million people were erroneously placed on the server with personal identifying information. This information contained names, mailing addresses, social security numbers, driver' licenses numbers and dates of birth. This is information was transferred to the server by the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), and the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS).  You can go to www.Txsafeguard.org for further information.

Please be advised that you can put a password on your account, so that over the counter and wire transfers would require a password to conduct the transaction. In addition, you should be advised that there be no effect your credit card or debit cards as no plastic card information was compromised.
 
Also, Sony PlayStation Network discovered a breach. The breach involved 70 million debit and credit cards. Please be cautious when using your debit or credit card online. AMOCO members, who have used their cards on the Sony or PlayStation network, are encouraged to have their debit cards re-issued.
